some have national moments of silence i recommend a national camaro 3.5 minutes of AC/DC. Once a Year on Dawson's Birthday or Day of Passing. i think he would appreciate 1,000's of camaros playing his song at the same time.

Mike,
I wish there was something I could do or say that would take away the pain that you and your family must feel. I too have a young son (9) who very much enjoys rides in our Camaro. My son always has that same big grin on his face everytime I pick him up in the Camaro. I have even shoehorned his hockey bag into the truck several time, just so we can take it to practice. Please know that your son has touch many of our lives. Thank you for sharing with us. RIP Dawson

Here is Dawson on the right with his brother. I bought them these Camaro trapper's hats at the local Chevy dealer when we went in one day to look at the Transformers special edition Camaro they had in the showroom.

Mike, I cannot even begin to understand your family's tremendous loss. I have two daughters that mean everything to me. I have been into Corvettes for a very long time and some of our favorite memories have been rides I have given them in the Vettes I have owned. My current 67 Vette is named after my youngest daughter, Tiffany, because the Marina Blue color matches her eyes and the car matches her attitude. As a parent I know that our kids are not supposed to go before we go, that is just not how it is supposed to be. My deepest sympathy goes out to everyone in your family and I know that when Dawson looks down and sees you driving his car, he will be smiling. Steve

Scott, thanks again from all of us for posting this letter. As much as we love the Camaro and make it part of our family, sharing it with our kids is what makes it so very special.

Being a father of two of the most wonderful boys in the world, I could never fathom having to go through a loss such as yours. I just couldn't. I know they say family helps...but I just don't see how. I just think nothing in this world could ever help ease the pain.

My 3 year old is laying here next to me right now kicking me with his feet...and my 5 year old is laying on the ground playing his little video game. The tears started rolling...and I couldn't let go...

I missed this thread having joined after it was started... but it's good to see someone bring it up again so we can all read the story. As someone else said, cars aren't "just" cars to many people. I told my son that this is his car when he grows up. Of course his favorite color is green so I might have to change it to a Synergy tone at some point in time. But I definitely feel for the person who wrote the story. Any loss in a family is a hard one to cope with. I'm sure your son enjoyed that ride with you.
