I too have two boys (2.5 & 6) and don't know how I would be able to cope with something like this!

God bless you and your family.

Hello Mike

I am a medic with a local ambulance service. I have done this job for seventeen years now. I remember so many things I wish I could forget. I also remember so many things I will cherish forever. I have tried for a long time not to take my job personally although sometimes it isnt easy.

After reading your letter to Scott it reminded me of when I lost my father. You see..he used to watch me work on cars sometimes. Just keeping me company. After he died I just lost interest for a while. It wasnt the same. A year later I went to school to learn how to do emergency medicine. When my certification letter came in the mail I wondered if my father would be proud of me. I looked at the dates on my paperwork to find it was validated on January 5th. I almost fell on the floor. That was my fathers birthday. That was my answer.

On those days when you take that blanket for those rides...always remember. He's there. He knows and He Loves You.

Each and every day we touch the lives of those around us just as they touch ours. Although I dont know you or your family, your story will always be one I will remember.

Thank you for sharing Dawson's story.

God bless you and your family and most of all Dawson.

Hey Quickmedic1, you're post is also #115!

Wow, my eyes have teared up reading Dawson's story and many other who have recently lost loved ones. I'm glad that your car can connect you all so closely to them. It really makes it extra special!

For me it is the love of cars, trucks, whatever.....The hobby I guess. You meet so many wonderful people thru the love of the hobby. So many things you can relate to.

Wow - touching story, my sorrow on the loss of your son. Dawson was a lucky child and I'm sure he'll always be riding guardian angel shotgun with you.
