Manual Trans, 1st to 4th lock out?
Is true for casual driving with the 2010 Camaro it forces you to go from first to forth gear? If so, what is the work around? If I'm paying for 6 gears, and a clutch peddle, I'm doing for a reason.

Shift at a little bit higher rpm.....or get a skipshift eliminator!

Skip shift is there on the manual tranny, however it doesn't kick in very often. I drive my car both in a spirited fashion some times and a rather casual fashion some times. It has only made me skip to fourth about 4 times (have 1800 miles on the clock now). I had originally planned to pay for the skip-shift eliminator but now, I won't worry about it.

It depends, if it`s V8 manual it has skip shift, V6 manuals don`t have it.

It only kicks in when you creep ahead slowly in 1st it will make you shift to 4th, but if you give it more throttle it will shut off and let you shift to 2nd or 3rd if you want to. It's not bad really I think it's just that it catches you off guard sometimes so it might annoy some people.

Noticed it a couple times and thought about getting the eliminator but honestly, doesn't come on that much...maybe a half dozen time and I have over 6K on the clock.

I've seen it twice so far in the first 500 miles. It really hasn't been much of a bother at all.
