Save your money on the cai....keep your k@N...for a few extra hp its not worth it. Put the money saved on your cai towards some solo hi flow cats to go with your exhaust. The CAI is good but since you already have a cai on the car move on to something else,

K&N filters come with a Million Mile Limited warranty, they can just be cleaned instead of buying a whole new filter. The cleaning kit costs 10 bucks.
BUT the thread title says spend your money, so just do what everyone else does and dump the K&N and buy a Cold Air Inductions intake, they are supposed to be the best. I like the K&N simply because the sound, 18 HP gains it advertises, and the look. When you really get on it, you can just hear the air sucking in through there.

It helps to prevent blow-by from getting into your intake. This is a highly recommend mod. Here is a writeup Chase did, it's for the ZL1 but it's the same thing. I know he did another writeup but I was unable to find it. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=319270 Personally I love the Elite CC, but the Apex can would be my 2nd choice. And the only reason I pick Elite over Apex is that I don't like the mounting location of the Apex can. |

Catchcan should be one of your first mods! Chase at Apex Motorsports will be an excellent source to guide you through your mods, Apex is a vendor here in C5. The CAI is an excellent choice.
