Clutch woes....added pictures

So having issues with my clutch/trans. I cannot disengage the clutch. I just installed a new clutch master and it didn't help. I installed a brand new slave with monster support when I installed the Mantic 9000. So I am going to pull the trans sometime in the near future and figure out whats going on. While the trans is out I thought, why not rebuild it. I found a reputable local trans shop that will charge $600 labor, I must provide the parts. I would upgrade and not do a factory rebuild. I have looked at transmission rebuilds offered by RPM and Tick. They seem pricey, although some of their builds come with the Gforce output shaft. Anyone have thoughts?

600 labor is WAY too much. (unless that includes pulling the trans out) I build on the side and charge only $250 (when I have time to do one). However even the pro shops here charge $300 for one and $400 labor for the other. I would shop around. Additionally, the upgrades are minor, unless you're getting the gears cryo treated and what not. Billet 1/2 keys and bronze shift fork tabs are the big upgrades, and those are cheap. Carbon fiber synchros too

I'll have to shop around more. Because around here everyone wants more than $600 to rebuild a tr6060. And, yes that is with me pulling it myself. I am gonna do all the upgrades that you mentioned. Guess I need to look more. I thought $600 was a pretty good deal. Thanks for your input!

how does the trans shift with the motor off? Typically a trans should shift with the motor ON no differently then with it off, as having your foot on the clutch pedal is no different then having the engine turned off. If it shifts through all the gears with the motor off, the trans isn't the issue, unless it's something like the input shaft locked into a bad pilot bearing and constantly spinning even when disengaged

I know this. I need to pull the trans in order to fix why I cannot disengage the clutch. I believe the new slave I installed has an internal leak. Since I have to pull the trans, I figured I would get it rebuilt while it was out. Found a shop that will rebuild for $2100 labor, parts, and shipping.

Well, today I pulled the trans and found my problem. It is my Mantic twin clutch. One of springs on the clutch disc, pressure plate side, came off and lodge between the disc and pressure plate fingers. Found another spring loose and another lodge crooked. This caused the slave to start leaking as well. Input shaft was wet. I have no idea how this even happened. I haven't raced or launched the car since I installed the clutch a few months ago. It was fine until it wasn't. Waiting to hear back from Mantic, see what can be done. Sending the trans to get a rebuild with some upgraded goodies.

Did Mantic warranty the failed unit? I'm curious to hear how they were to deal with on this issue.

I have a feeling they would have. But, unfortunately I couldnt find my invoice. Nonetheless, got a great deal on a new one. I went directly though Mantic USA. Geoff was great to deal with and answered all my questions.

If you're asking about the transmission. I ordered everything from Tick. I got carbon fiber blocker rings with full carbon fiber on 1-4 and hybrid for the rest, bronze fork pads, bronze shifter cup, and a zr1 pickup tube.
