Bolt on 2016 Mustang GT VS. Cammed 2011 SS

Hey guys, I know this guy with an S550 that thinks his car is the fastest thing on the planet. It's a 6 speed manual and He's got a gt350 intake manifold, intake, headers and axle back. My car has intake, ported throttle body, high flow cats, cat back, 3.91 gears, yank 3200 converter and a GPI VVT SS1. Both are in street tires. If we raced on a closed road legally, who do you guys think would win? From a roll, dig? Again, just to be clear, closed road, legal, hypothetical.

From a dig, you if you're running a track distance. Your auto/3.91 gears gives you the advantage. Get a good launch, keep no weeds open for extra support and hammer down and I would say you would more than likely win. From a roll, he probably has you. If you were in an LS3 I'd give it to you.

You win either way....your gears and stall help you from a dig. They also give your auto a kick in the ass from a roll.

Your doomed from a roll. The Mustang will trap 118-120 easily with those mods. You should win just as easily from a dig.

5.0's are slow. Full bolt ons with hundreds of pounds of weight reduction and John Force behind the wheel, they may crack a 12.1-12.2.

Cammed LS3 Camaro? High 9's on winter tires, all day long.

5.0 Slow? Not hardly. Every Coyote at my local tracks were pretty much beating up on all the 5th Gen Camaro's, mine included.

With Vararam intake, Corsa catback and working on a tune with my buddy, we ran 8.80's while the 2015 5.0 ran 8.06 and 7.95.

The 5.0 only has mufflers, X-pipe CAI, and mail order tune. It's a manual, though.

Here goes a 2013 5.0 with auto run (12.8 @110) on the same day as my 8.5/13.1 and he only has GT500 catback.

We're talking near stock cars at nearly 2,300 DA.

None of the almost stock (CAI, Catback, Tune...) 5th gens were running near 7.95 at this track that night.

Again, I ran a 8.80 in Sport mode with TC off to his 7.95.

The ET's don't lie. I'm just stating the facts; I don't have anything to gain or lose by telling folks the truth here. It is what it is.

Same night, same DA, same track, same minor mods -- Camaro SS v 5.0's.
