20's or 22's

I'm looking at aftermarket wheels and want to get some ideas of what 20's look like vs 22's. Would you all mind posting some pics of your aftermarket wheels and tell what size they are? Thanks.

Look around the Cosmetic threads, you can find it on the first page. Should be able to find wheels with the search also. Have fun, feel free to look around. Welcome to C5
You can also find wheels and tires in the "Marketplace"

I should be buying a Camaro today or tomorrow and I've been looking for months at wheels.

Apparently you'll lose some performance and traction on 22's but I think they look the best.

20's are more for performance and sticking the tires and they DO look good on these cars, especially when lowered.

I'm looking at 22's

20's and drop springs. Click on my thread for before and after picks. IMO, anything above 20's starts to look ghetto.

Looking through the forum that shadow09 attached, I do agree that 20's look good, but I think I am partial to the 22's. Depending on the wheel, and the rest of the car, 22's can look ghetto, but done right, I think they look extremely clean. I'll be lowering the car first, and leaving the stocks on for a while. That being said, any idea how much I should expect to pay to black out the stocks?

I was in the same delema. I decided on the 22's and trust me YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT. You do lose some traction if your tires are not wide enough in the rear under hard acceleration. Don't listen to those race car "wanna bees" in the above. The manufacture of the tire is important also. If the compound is not right, you will go through them quick. Just check out my pics and you decide.
Good Luck.

I had 22s and couldn't stand them because of the loss in performance. I sold them and got some 20" wheels. I'm MUCH happier with the 20s.

I can definitely see traction being an issue, but I'm not taking my car to the track, or trying to race enough to really be affected by it. Hopefully I don't eat my words...

Not if you get the right tires. I think these cars look awesome with 18" (or even 16") wheels and drag tires on them. But, that's not the elegant look the 22s give them. It just depends on what look you're going for.

I wanted some go and some show. The 20s are a good compromise between those.

I will be getting some 16" wheels for the back for track days too.
