Went on a spirited back roads drive today and gave a Cayman S a good look at the rear end. HAHA! Just some fun with a couple of friends.

I think I finally found a place to get my gears installed. I visited Randy at 510 Race Engineering in Tomball. Real nice guy and down to earth. http://www.510raceengineering.com/

We've worked out the monetary issue and just need to set a time to "git 'er done". Hopefully it will be so I have some time to break the gears in before my road trip Labor Day weekend.

WARNING - MINI RANT: It seems lately that most of the shops in Houston have so much business that they're either turning people away or quoting ridiculous prices because the demand is high right now. Both have happened ot me trying to get quotes to install my gears.

For what it's worth 510 is great to work with. They've done quite a few installs with our parts. I think you will be really happy with their work!

BMR subframe inserts and diff. bushings ordered thru 510 to go along with the gear install - more money up front but it only makes sense to do it while the diff is out. I only went with the inserts because I want my cake and to eat it too. We'll see if that works, but I don't AutoX or track the car really (maybe once a year if that) so no need for the solid mounts that transmit more noise into the cabin.

Yeas it is. I'm from Big Spring and still have family there. I've always thought the veterans memorial there is amazing for such a small town.

Labor day weekend works well because that's when the annual rod run is.
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=241825. The cruise for a thru the VA hospital and some nursing homes and up on Scenic mountain.

Man I need to get the wife to dowload those photos from the old Gulf station a few weeks ago. There were some nice shots of my car and a friend's Cayman S.
