New camaro vs G8
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Cars-...=p4506.c0.m245
Under $32k for a fully optioned G8 Lets hope this means a full optioned SS will be no more than $35k |

I would be surprised if the MSRP is much over $35k on the SS/RS (or is it RS/SS?).
However I'm there will be a fair share of dealer mark-ups that surpass that in some areas. |

I would look to the price of the Mustang as your basis for a guess. I am sure it will be within 5-10% of the Mustang.

I'd say GTO price is reasonable. Even though this will probably an all around better car. More thought out and more purpose built. The GTO being a performance car was an afterthought. The Chassis was first used on a luxury car made by Opel called the Omega. The Zeta chassis was designed with these cars in mind.
It arguably offers more car than the Mustang so I think it may command a premium over the Mustang. And considering the "base" Camaro SS should be pretty decked out, we should expect it to be priced a few grand above the Premium Mustang GT. So between 30 and 35k is reasonable. Just my opinion of course. |

By my estimations, 36k for a fully loaded SS. Even at that price it is a good deal.
The Ls would be about 21K+ and the LT/RS fully loaded around 28k |

Everyone needs to quit expecting it to be up and around $35K for a fully optioned SS. GM hasn't figured out pricing yet and when they keep seeing $35k over and over again, they start to understand that's what the buying public has come to expect.
I'm not trying to be rude to anyone here....I'm just saying that if you're going to start the pricing, aim lower!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

I guarentee that the SS will cost either: $28,999, or $29,999. It WILL NOT GO OVER 30 GRAND FOR BASE 8. And I say RS/SS will be 30.5-31.25 K tops.
THIS WILL BE RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not a chance. Even if you are right about the SS1 version it will be a heck of a lot more expensive to go to SS2 and add the RS package than a couple of grand.

It won't be that much. Camaro has a mucheaper interior than the more upscale luxury style stuff in the g8. As for performance being an afterthought in the GTO that wasn't true. The platform was designed to primarily support the commodor and also HSV cars.

Are you crazy??? That would put the SS at about 40 grand!! Hell no. Sorry. I'd say $32k for SS/RS, about $29-30K for base SS.
