I had a yellow 2004 cobra and all I can say from driving both is "Good luck and you better be damn good."

Like 10 thread i seen on the same topic. Half of the people say close some say crush...how about just race the little.kid at the track. If you win great! If you don't, oh well..who cares. Someone will always be faster than the next guy. If you don't want to race then don't. Simple as that.

I raced my buddys cobra when we were both stock and we stayed dead even all the way till 120 or so and the wasn't from a dig, so id if they're both stock then it's definitely a drivers race unless my car is a factory freak.

terminator cobras are roughly low 13/high 12 second cars stock. big disadvantage for you, is that his car is 6 years old. Big chance that in those 6 years, a mod has been done to it, or two, or three. He probably just isn't telling you about it. And he's had his car for awhile.... that means he has a lot more time practicing racing his car.

If you have an L99, I would think of a lame excuse not to race

If you have an LS3, you are going to lose... but it will be close.

What do you think LS3s are? It's a drivers race with an edge going to the Cobra.

Here is me racing a 2004 with just a couple extra upgrades on the mustang. We both spun at the beginning and in 2nd gear I started pulling on him then in 3rd he pulled on me for the win by not very much.

Stock for Stock it is a drivers race.

The 03/04 Cobra should have a slight advantage.

The biggest difference in this particular case will be the drivers. And since the kid can't even drive yet ... I'd put my money on you.

Thanks for the replys and here's a change he states now that it's a 2000 not 2003. And says it puts down 375 horsepower. So it sounds like a drivers race to me. By the way I'm an l99 and his is stick. Unexperienced manual driver = me winning

It's not stock if it's a 2000 with 375hp and it's also not a cobra because they skipped 2000 in the Cobras. in 99 they were rated at 320HP but it was found out that they didn't really make that which got ford in hot water.

Ok so... is it a 03 or 2000? if its a 2000 its not supercharged and no problem. An stock 2003 cobra will be a drivers race. He shouldn't call your car a ***** i would rather have a 2010 camaro over a 03 cobra they suck ass to drive as a DD.
