From the videos on ADM website it does not show having to take off the bumper to install the race scoop, but it seems everyone is under the impression that the bumper must come off. Can we get a clarification? Thanks!

We did not have to take the bumper off to install the scoop. We actually installed it right on the Dyno. Taking the bumper off would make it easier to access everything. You do have to push the inner splash shield back to do it that way. Nick had a heck of a time installing it that way but it can be done.

I noticed that some of the peak tq gains are less than the avg. tq gains on some of these units. How is this possible?
Specifically the KN, Injen short ram, new era tube, AFE, fastlane,

Very Simple just look at the dyno sheets.

Peak to Peak can be the same or lower and still have average gains over the whole graph.

Averages are taken from the beginning to the end.

Ted.

But isn't a peak gain the highest somewhere in the graph? Sorry, just trying to
do some learning.

Hey Ted....another quick question.

Looking at the spreadsheet you have the C.A.I. with the ADM Scoop and it says "No" to modifications. Wouldn't you have to remove the water bottle and cut the deflector just like the ADM Race? They are both using the same scoop. I would think it would require the same modifcations.

To me it almost looks like you could replace the stock airbox hose with a straight hose and drop in a K&N type filter and have the same thing? Like this Blackwing setup?

Have you tested any of these? I'm thinking you could line the inside of the stock box with a tape insulation and basically have the CAI unit, but look stock

If it were that simple everyone would be doing it.

Ted.

I agree with you Frank. The people at JRE are great, but the fact is that they did not test the SLP Blackwing.

They can certainly speculate on it, but that's it.

After independent dyno testing R8cerX stated "at least for now we know the SLP CAI works like a champ".

I'm thinking about going to a local dyno shop to do back-to-back testing and put an end to all the speculation ...
