Wheel fitment with Pfadt featherlight coilovers

I recall that with the first gen coilovers from Pfadt, there was less clearance than stock for front wheels. I know that with their featherlights, they can fit the zl1/1le 10's.

The revised front mounts also feature more clearance for aggressive wheel and tire combinations!
Can anyone clarify on exactly how much extra space there is with the new featherlights? Anyone fit 10.5's with them yet?

Hi Bomino, the original coilovers had the same clearance as stock, not less. When coupled with our camber plates, you will get more clearance than stock with our original camber plates.

With that said, the new Feather Light Generation Coilovers not only has +12 mm of extra clearance from offsetting the strut axis, but also gives you even more Camber adjustability than factory.

Thank you for the quick responses!

So with that extra clearance up front, fitting 10.5's should not be too much of a problem.

With the extra clearance, the 10.5" wide wheel will not have any inherent problems. BUT, there are still plenty of variables at hand that can cause fitment problems:

-wheel offset
-diameter size (assuming you are talking about 20" still)
-tire size

Any of those items above, if sized incorrectly on a 10.5" wide wheel, can lead to fitment problems. I would recommend doing the math on your wheel combo you are looking at, including the right tire size, and getting a cross section to sweep to confrim fitment. We will not be able to provide that because all wheel and tire manufactures do not have identical dimensions for the same size products. They should be able to provide you with the right guide though.

Believe it or not Camber may even come into play, because if you lean wheel in towards the strut via the lower camber adjusting mechanism, you will lose clearance. If you do it with the Pfadt Camber/Caster plates up top, you can gain a lot of that camber back.
