Seat Heater

My Diver Side heated seat decided to stop working. I turn the DS seat heater on, it's stays on about 15 - 20 seconds then shuts off. Anyone experience this?

Did some research online and found that it's most likely one of the seat heater elements. The seat and back heater element cost about $100. Looks like you have to tear the whole seat apart to replace. Maybe a later project......

Just a word of warning its a nightmare to do, I did this for my ss seats and later for my recaros. My ss elements broke on the upper back just above where the seat back pivots. Go slow and take your time and have a nice work space thats padded. Also make sure to leave unconnected for 10-15 before you start tinkering since there is an airbag in the shoulder.

My biggest fear was tearing the old leather, might be worth it to look at what new leather covers cost since your removing them anyways.

This is the problem. Mine quit working a couple yers ago. It was discussed here
before and everyone agreed it's a cut wire.
