Good Evening
Hello, names Cryz I am from the Lone Star State, formerly of ThirdGen.org... well still am just got a new ride on the way. I am the proud owner of a 1987 IROC-Z and now a 2013 SS2 RS Camaro. Not a fan of the color, but couldn't sniff at the discount. The car is "used". I spent hours at a dealer working on a deal for a new car, this car ended up being the exact same as the brand new one with a nearly 12k discount.
It was a tossup between this car, and a black one with white stripes. I really wanted to get the black one, same price but the black one had 700 miles on it far less then this one but alas, the moving cost and cost to pickup the NC car was too prohibitive for me. So this little gem should arrive within the next couple weeks and will be my new daily driver. I am not a fan of the color, but I plan to wrap it soon after I take possession. |

CONGRATS on your ride and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, dad's, wive's, husband's, girlfriend's and boyfriend's here don't care....and take it easy.
 oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here. Welcome!!

I have a sort of plan that I wanted to take for my 5th gen, I have been plotting what I wanted since about the time the first mock up of what the 5th gen might look like shortly after they pulled the 4th gen. I would have waited until I was in a better position to nab a good deal at the dealer, but I loathe the changes done to the 2014 so it became a now or never deal and the pickings were quite thin on the "used" 2013 Camaro's with all the things I wanted. There were actually exactly 8 in the US that I found. The Nav option is one I really wanted.
The car in NC man, pretty car, loved it. Not a fan of the pure black interior though. Still 700 miles for a 2013 SS2RS with Nav for 34995... if I had not already been approved on this one... ah well someone else will enjoy that deal. Anyway, my desire was a black with orange stripes and the inferno orange interior, not exactly as easy to find a combo with the nav and an automatic, there were 0 of them used. Wrapping it is just good management in my opinion, perhaps the color will grow on me but I had care and custody of a 2013 Blue Ray one and 3000 miles on it something on the road came up and dinged it really badly on the front driver fender. It -will- get a wrap, even its its just a clear one. |
