14 Z/28 11,000 miles Red $38,000 in VA

Not affiliated, but seems like a good deal on this A/C car with clean Carfax.

I was going to go check it out as well but noticed a damage report on the CARFAX early in the vehicles life. Says something about damage reported to the front end.

Multiple places it mentions damage from the 3.7.15 damage

"03/07/2015
Damage reported
Damage to front

CARFAX began reporting this information on 10/24/2018."

What the Carfax won't tell you is that it's a CTF car..who knows what it's been through in five years.

That proves it. I need my eyes checked. I feel better now about our car's value.

Agreed. Not a big enough delta to buy that vs. a nice $40k-$42k no story example from a member here.

I might still go drive it so I can get a refresher on what these drive like, its been a few years since I've had the opportunity to pilot one.

The VIN # tells you it is a CTF car - start with 69 vs 70 - Carfax has the VIN # on it - so I would say it does tell you it is a CTF car.

VIN: 2G1FS1EE9E9699035

the VIN "E" is for 2014 - "F" is for 2015 then 9 - then "69" for CTF cars or "70" for production cars.

Yes, of course, was meant to be tounge in cheek relative to the thrashing most of those cars received at the hands of many. Carfax won't tell you it got hot lapped by journalists mid shifting and pranging off FIA curbing at press events. Like previously stated i'd rather pay up for a one or two owner example than go to Vegas on a CTF with accident history.

No question - no story cars are the way to go!

The damage was only to the splitter at the dealer. I spoke to a guy who knows the owner, the car is well cared for. The only reason I haven’t jumped on it my self is because Ive got to much in my ZL1 to accept a loss in price.
