Are you new to the lsx scene?

This term is widely known and assumes cam plus all necessary bolt ons.

As far as suspension mods/tires/etc...I am not sure of the exact set-up. I was just referring to power mods.
Yes i am new to the power mods and the go fast stuff. Not new to F-bods though. Pretty much all of them i have ever owned including my 2011 has had extensive appearance mods. But never any real power mods. Just started modding my 2011 but, this time around i might be looking to add power.

If you could show some proof of that run you could be number 4 on the fast list for internal engine mods.

I ran against the car that night, weather wasn't all that great either. Just to clarify that cam needs flycutting of the pistons to clear, so it's heads have been off. It was still on the stock clutch which was definitely holding it back, with gears and a clutch I honestly believe cam-only could be done in great air(-DA). Can't remember if he had any weight reduction at the time honestly as the next time I saw the car at the track it had an auto, stroker motor and spray looking for 8s.

I suspect a hot 520-530 rwhp H/C LS3 set up could get it done. Full weight is a fuzzy term. The car is going to be running slicks and skinnies to get that done...which removes about 100lbs. A full aftermarket exhaust removes a bit of weight from the car also.

I dont think the interior of the car will need to be gutted or any extensive weight reduction will be needed to get it done.

This is my long term goal....but I dont think I have the time/money/or balls to run my car that hard and often.

LG is adamant the cam clears without flycutting.

LG also is adamant that they run extremely close PTV clearances on their shop cars.

There have been a few people that have measured PTV clearance on stock heads/gaskets with the g6x3 and have come as close as .020" on the intake valve

Yeah I have read all about it.

I would be very careful running this cam without flycutting. I doubt I will go with a cam this big but we will see.

Looking forward to seeing what texas-speed has in store. They are working on a cam a little bit bigger than their 231/236. They are also working on some new heads. If they both look good that is probably the route I will go.

I have bought a lot of stuff from them in the past on my ls1 car and have been very satisfied.

So the equation is really simple. Stock weight stock converter will need at least 535 rwhp and drag radials. Maybe if someone does a stall you can do it with 500 or so rwhp.

So let's go! Someone try it for us!

The most clearance I've seen is .030" on the intake. Too tight for me.

For the orig. question.Mid 11's in good air would be either a blower or Cam,headers, stall. Of course good tires will help.

94 guy also has a litte more rwhp than Mike and I. His car is hauling some ass now thats for sure. I was just referencing the bare minimum that "I" think this car will need to crack the 10's.
