my tuner said that was "it" at 553rwhp. 600 would most likely need injectors.

Impressive, what was the air temp?

Hmm, wonder if a manual car would run that quick with the same mods.

We will soon find out.
Hope to have the mods installed by the end of the month. Then, schedule some time to have ADM tune it.

You missed the 90 mm throttle body? Drag radials?

Hey, the car is impressive. But it has a little than 'just' a CAI, tune, and lower pulley to get those times.

Man you seem to be a little bitter at the amazing times with MINIMAL performance bolt ons? DR's are not a performance mod that increase power. The only power mods were pulley, CAI, TB, and tune. Nice job OP. I would question the TB providing any significant power increase.

Friend, no one is bitter. I'm happy for the OP. But, you my good man, are in denial.

So let's be real, ok? This car ran what it did because of the sum of ALL the mods, not just because of three that you pick and choose to give credit.

Why do that? To make others think that 11.19s only need a CAI, a tune, and a pulley? Not happening in the real world. Especially without better tires and manageable IATs.

Be honest. The OP was very straight up about his mods and he has an awesome car. But I am 100% certain that his ZL1 will not run low 11s with 'only' a CAI, tune, and a pulley. Give the DRs a lot of input, the OP's driving skill a HUGE amount of credit, and every other mod - including the TB and reservoir - as having some benefit.

Really, if a performance enhancing mod does no good (not increase performance) then why install it?

And, calling a performance enhancing mod a NON-performance enhancing mod (DRs, TB), does not make them a NON-performance enhancing mod. A rose by any other name... Etc, etc, etc...

There are mods that are power adders, there are mods that free up horsepower, and there are mods that help you use the power you are producing.

This ZL1 has all three categories and that is smart modding by the OP.

Nice job!

man simple bolt on's are simple bolts on's. sounds like you have some weird axe to grind to me. sounds to me like he forgot to post the TB and he does not consider a tire a mod. done deal why argue.

Nice runs....we have had some great air here in VA the past couple weekends. Try taking it down to VMP in Dinwiddie. You might get a couple more runs before they give you the boot. But the 10.99 will get you booted for sure LOL

VMP is the second closest 1/4 mile track for me. I like MIR too in Budds
Creek MD. Both of these tracks are more reasonable with new cars and the roll bar rules. Strap drag radials on a bone stock ZR1 and I guess you need a roll bar...please...as I stated in an earlier post, this isn't a rusty Nova with skinnies.
