spoke to tech support at richmond yesterday, stated that there is alot of flex and play in the housing and when they first put out the spec's they did not take into concerdition the play.

mine are being returned this week due to failure(note i bought mine back in july, never got around to installing them until 2 weeks ago)

Thanks,
A rear end gear installation is not a DIY type of thing. Even for a professional who knows what they are doing you are looking at a 6+ hour job. Look for a shop that specializes in transmissions and rear end to perform the install. A good performance or 4x4 shop will have the expertise in house as well.

If they tell me if the gears break again, then I have to go through all of this again, you will be seeing a set of richmond 4.10 gears for sale in the classifieds section...... I'll just cut my losses, run stock gears :(, and pray that I win the lottery, so I can afford to do a 9" conversion
Who do you call for warrantee ? Mine survived 8000 miles in 11 months .

man, I want the 410's but always worried about these threads. . . I really don't want to shatter my rear end just for some 4.10's.
