I installed a set of 4.10s along with JRE's posi mod kit and it was dead silent until I installed a set of pro rear cradle and differential bushings which only gave a slight hint of noise which is not bad at all.

With a Full set of headers and Long pipes, and all the toppings I really couldn't tell you if my phone was ringing more less if my rear was making any noise.

Sorry

Thanks apex for your great info. Looks like I will be going with 4.10s when I stroke my motor to a 418

Sorry to chime in late, but I had a set of 3:73 's installed late fall, I do notice a bit of gear noise...I think only in 4th and 5th....but I also had the PFADT solid subframe bushings installed.
So with the more solid feeling ride you also get some more noise travel through the drivetrain and into frame...
