sct datalogging AFR with AEM UEGO.....What equation?

I am doing some datalogging to finalize my tune with JRE. I have the aem Uego installed. Gauge seems very erratic at idle. I have the gauge installed with a positive and ground to the chassis inside the cabin of the car. The AEM is conected to the SCT with a firewire. Im using the white wire from the AEM and connected to the red wire from the firewire. I am getting good readings during datalogging but it seems to vary a bit from what the gauge says at WOT. JRE wants me to be sure that they read the SAME before doing any more changes to the tune. How do I make sure that I am reading my values correctly at the gauge and the output that is seen in LIVElink? IS there an equation that has been a proven performer to set in the analog 1 position?

Running the Ground to the engine block gives a cleaner signal than grounding to the dash chassis.

What equation are you using Now?

With some one riding with you they can view what the log says vs what the gauge says they should be the same within a 1/10 or so but they move very fast.

I take pictures of the computer screen and wideband then compare the numbers. Then you just add or subtract from the offset at the end of the equation to make them match.

+10 is the offset. Take pics of the gauge and computer screen so you can see what they both are simultaneously. Take the difference and either add it or subtract it from the +10. Mine ends up being 9.8.

went out and attatched the ground to the block.......much less erratic readings........after some watching both under load.......i concluded mine needs to be at 11.1 to match Does that seem odd?

A little bit. You should probably be around .2 off. I'm gonna guess your ground swap there did more harm to the signal than good. I have mine grounded to a bolt in the fusebox side of the dash. It's hard to tell what you mean by erratic. It should be swinging back and forth around 14.68 all the time.

FML I guess i will just call ted and see what he suggests. Why is there always "one more thing" to do to get it dialed in? LOL........I did notice since the last adjustment to the fuel in the tune, it seems to be running richer and backfires after letting off of full throttle every so often

You might consider switching to a better software, especially being FI.

Mine does that too. I think it is caused by coming out of PE and dropping into the coastdown timing table. Nothing to worry about.
