Would these work with a hoist? How about the plastic pads? Thanks.

Will the aluminum one fit wider pinch weld? When I bought the plastic one awhile ago it fit the rear fine but not the front. Seems the front has a spot overlapping. Id like to upgrade to the aluminum.

We get call asking how the jack pads are fitted to the car. The way we make them is so they pick the car up from Bottom of pinch weld not the floor pan. If you look at a stock jack that comes with the car, the ZL1 does not have one, you will see it lifts the car by the bottom of the pinch weld. The pinch weld will not bend over as long as you use a pad with over 2 inches in length. The pinch weld is made to be strong and lift the car.

I should have purchased a "heavy use" pad as my pad with the rectangle is showing signs of use with a few cracks in the aluminum. I probably was sloppy with the jack placement but this "heavy use" pad looks like a better version.

You say cracks in the aluminum? The standard are not aluminum. Yes, if you do not place the pads in the correct place they will get crossed up and try to brake a leg off the standard pad. |

Some how you did not use that right?? Looks like it was not sitting on top of the flat top of the floor jack
How did you gouge the bottom up? Looks like the top on floor jack is not flat. Here is a look at what it should look like on the jack. We do recommend the jack have a flat top, if not then you will have to use a spacer. |

We can send a bottom plate for you.
I need to see your floor jack top, can you shoot a pic? |
