Caliper Covers

MGP alternative? Don't feel like dropping 200 if I don't have to. Thoughts on the universal ones on Ebay? Does anyone have pictures with them?

If you have a 1LE, why would you want to cover up your Brembos? My buddy has them and I personally think they cheapen up the look of the car. Just my opinion.

Some guys like them, some don't. I bought a set of MGP's and when I set it on the caliper to see how it looked, I didn't like it. Those things are way too big IMO. If you already have Brembo's I wouldn't cover those up.

BTW, I have a set of black MGP's with red Camaro lettering that I'd let go pretty cheap. LOL.

You have a LT, the OP says he has a SS 1LE. He should already have Big Red Brakes and not need covers.

Me thinks not a 1le (even if it's not though caliper covers are rice and should not be used in any scenario).

I like the caliper covers since I don't have brembos on my LT. Although not as cool looking brembos, it has a great side benefit of keeping brake dust off of the wheels. If I do ever upgrade to brembos, I'll be getting rid of the caliper covers.

Wrong, I've seen far too many cars with caliper covers and the less the better. Hopefully one day people will stop wasting their money on this "mod" and put it to things more camaro worthy (like a catch can, lol).

Sometimes you do a man a service by dissuading him from tacky choices. The only thing more horrendous than caliper covers would be some stick-on scoops from Autozone.

Agree on the bad look of the caliper covers. I was thinking about that route initially too until a saw a set and almost threw up. I spent the money and had the Brembos painted instead.

^^ Lol, that last scoop is tiny. Probably functional though, so good for him.
