That's why down here in Florida you see very low mile corvettes used. You can even find c6 Corvettes with under 40k miles easily and in excellent condition. These older guys buy them and simply can't get in or out of them. If I couldn't get a Camaro I'd for sure would look into something like a 2008 Corvette with low miles and then cam it, throw on the super charger, etc. |

You need to drive a C8 if possible. First off they are amazing cars, performance of a $ 200k Ferrari for less than 1/2 the price. I don't know if changes to the 22' are coming.

I consider the Camaro,Mustang, etc. two seaters. Death traps in the back. I would never sit back there. |

If I could swing it, I would do it in a second. My wife and I love the C8. I also liked the C7, and that was the car I wanted before getting my 2SS. Just couldn't swing it at the time.

With the new c8 hitting 100k on up, even for a used one I'd rather just go buy a C7 Z06 corvette. Fast and it's the better looking C7 design. I'd take a C7 Z06 or ZR1 over any C8. I know the C8 NA engine is amazing peformance wise but the design of the car I don't dig at all. |

I think if you can fit in and get out of it easily AND can afford it, go for it. I also think Corvettes are awesome cars. I had the same interest although on a much lower scale. I had a V6 Camaro and wanted a RWD V8 car with manual transmission. I was really looking at a new Camaro LT1 although that was even too expensive for me. So I got a great deal on a 2006 C6 convertible. Love the car- it's not a C8 although it's what I can afford and to me amazing. I fit in it no problem- I'm 62, in shape, slim and tall- no problem getting in and out of it. So if you can financially afford it and can fit in it and you don't mind the long wait get it. Worst thing if you don't like it, you can easily sell it and probably make a profit.

C8 is a very nice car but they are having issues with them. I go on the Corvette forum and bad valves causing blown motors as well as other issues. You can get one for sticker price from one of the Forum dealers, McMalkin in NH, Criswell in MD and others but they are a year out to get one and cost about $80K with Z51 pkg and few other goodies. I sat in one with the standard seats and they were very comfortable for ME. I am 5'11" 225 so I fit well but the GT seats may be a little tight. The Zl1 is a different car all together, fast but heavy so handling won't be as good. Unless you get the lift system in the C8 you will have to be very careful over speed bumps and front in parking. Don't have those issues with the ZL1.
