Am I the only one addicted to Motor trend TV ?

With all the bad TV these days, Motor trend has become my go to channel.

I used to enjoy HD Theater and Velocity but when it became Motor Trend I started to lose interest. The manufactured drama and grab-ass distracts from good automotive info. And let's not forget WAY too many commercials, some so long I would forget what program I was watching. My favorite show was Fantom Works, that show ended coincidentally at the same time I dumped DTV and installed an old school antenna. Now I have an extra $100 a month for car stuff!

It's been up and down since they changed over from Velocity. Roadkill just gets too silly or stupid at times, the replacements on CarFix are brutal, and one of my favorites, FantomWorks is gone (I understand and read why). Sometimes they come up with gems, like the one where the guy goes to junkyards, and the show were they go over some car mysteries like Hitler's car, so overall, it's better than most of what's on TV.

Ya lots of commercials and reruns just like everything else. Don't really care for the British programs. Steve Dolcich is the king IMHO.

Roadkill was great in its first 5 seasons or so; but those are all up on youtube commercial free to binge. Lately I've been watching a bunch of the stuff on South Main Auto's youtube channel.

Same here. My favorite is Wheeler Dealers, then Fast N Loud. Dennis Collins should have his own show but his YT channel is great.

I used to like Graveyard Carz but when they added Allysa (Mark's daughter), I started to lose interest. Al least, they brought Royal back in the show.

I can't stand Fantom Works. Dan Short is annoying. Each time he takes on a project, it always "this car is in a lot worst shape than I thought" and complains like a school girl. I mean, with all his wisdom and experience, I would think he would now know what to expect before taking on a project.

I regret liking South Beach Classics. I even visited the place when I was in S. Florida. The owner Vern is a wife beating scum. F#ck him.

I’ll have to go back and check it out. I’m the original A-D-D patient. Most days I’d rather wipe down the car again than watch TV. But I’ve liked what I’ve seen on MT TV. Hey, there’s an original thought...I want my MTTV!
