Hey, Icedog. Invite me and I'll go check it out in March. Will it be open to public? Would like to see your Z run that month. Later.

Telling foks that pressurizing their air intake is not negativity, its good info passed along.

Katech does Eldebrock SC's and Procharger SC's, that said they told me about 4 eyars ago that the LS7 piston design isnt capable of the same power as a LS3 is... the piston skirts aren't long enough. I was told that due to the issues supercharging or turbocharging limits the engine about 6 or 7 psi on the stock bottom end. However a built bottom, the skies the limit. Katech does supercharging of LS7's, but their advice to me was stay NA...go figure.

That said good luck with the build, my thoughts are you need to spend $40K (or more) or go with twin turbos or a lower pressure setup with a supercharger and $12K. Personally I wish I had unlimited money to toss at a build, I'd build an RHS block and only the best parts with a flat plane crank and shoot for 2000 hp; and an upgragded drivetrain from stem to stern.

Alternately turning it down a wee bit.... I'd buy the new corvette c8 twin turbo crate engine when they're available...that sucker is going to be terrific, especially if you upgraded the turbos and went to 1000 to 1100 hp not 850 hp.

I agree on the Stock LS7 set.. that why I pulled the Stock motor, trans and rear diff and built a LSX forged Short block and Ls7 285cc heads .
my motor is rated at 2200HP at the crank.. I have a full AGP twin turbo kit setting on the work branch.. I was going to install it but thinking about putting the Z28 back to stock (600+RWHP) and building a another 5th gen turbo car... and as to 40k on the build.. I have that in my current long block alone.
I post real RWHP after TX2K... Video to follow.

Not really ... Z28 just doesn’t work well at 1/4 mile... from a 1st gear roll it traps at 163mph at 1320ft

That's impressive! Post some videos. What makes it worse in the 1/4 mile than the regular 5th gen? Gearing?

Our cars are road race cars and mine is completely stock on the 4 corners... the gearing would be an issue (391) but I have 4 different diffs from 3.23, 3.45,3.73 and 3.91. I run the 3.23 and the 3.45 most of the time.. this car is a beast from a 50-60 roll and still incredible on the road course with stock set up turning the HP down to 600-700RWHP.. or less.

These cars are Road Race cars. This one will remain one... it can just be turned up for Roll Racing from Time to time

We have a 2nd Z28 Build starting next week that I’ll post up soon. All stock motor build for road course l.
