They are currently squealing even when no brake pressure is applied, so its literally CONSTANT.
The longer I drive, the louder and worse it gets. The pads also look charred.
It's to the point that even my wife thinks there is something wrong. Haha!

I’ve had this happen before. My ST43s are currently doing this. And I also just finished up a track day. As long is there are no pistons hanging up, I wonder if it’s just the transfer layer making all the noise. In the past when I’ve experienced it, it would eventually stop once the transfer layer gets worn off. Usually then it just squeaks when the brakes are applied.

Took the HAWK HP-Plus's off this weekend.

The backside coating was extremely brittle and flaked off in chunks like dead leaves.
The pad material was also quite brittle. I could sink my finger nail into it.

The edges of the pads looked charred as well.
I have personally never had break pads come off looking like these.

The pistons and piston boots looked to be in good shape tho.
Blew out all the remaining back plate material with some compressed air and put in the EBC Yellows.

Did a 200 mile day trip on them (after a quick bedding in) and they were great.
Will be testing the DTC-70s late next month.
