Questions about pertronix on delco distributor - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

hi,

i m upgrading a delco distributor but i m not sure it is ok.
First : the gap is varying a lot between module and magnet ring when you turn it, is it normal ???
Second : there is a drill mark on gear and it is supposed to be aligned with rotor tip, but when i installed a new rotor i noticed that the mark was at the opposite location, so is it normal ? i have removed the gear now and reinstall with mark aligned but not sure if it is correct...
