BA sys. what are the specs?

Does anyone know what are the specs for the BA sys. i.e. speakers frequency spectrum? impedance? sensitivity? What about the amps, all we know is 245watts, what about the sensitivity?

Looks like you're going to have to start tearing door pannels off and go digging in the trunk to get these numbers.

Unfortunately, even if I tear down door panels and dig in the trunk, the numbers are not normaly written on the components, such as sensitivity and frequency spectrum. The entire idea is to change the system for something better and having the numbers would help looking for higher end components. I'll give you an example, the rear speakers, the reason why most want a sub is because the rear are not capable to output very low frequencies, but I found some Polk audio 6 x9 speakers MM691 that generate sound from 30hz to 25khz where most 6 x 9 speakers start generating at a much higher freq.

Why would you pay for BA sound system only to replace it?

I bought the 2ss, there is no delete option for the sound sys. I did not buy the 2ss because of the sound sys but moresoe for the leather seats, 4 pack guages and all the upgraded electronics. Now it doesn't mean I am going to change the sound sys, that's why I am looking for the specs, if it's close to what I want, I will simply put in a sound processor and add a sub.

Oh. Apologies. I missed that. Understood. This is why I usually don't question mods other users are considering. But something seemed funny. At least until you explained it.

It depends on the quality of different components that you have in your system.

You are absolutely right, also sound proofing the doors and floor with Dynamat will make a big difference. At the end, I was hoping to make my mind up and buy all of the components before I get the car. But the best thing to do and most reasonable approach is to wait, get the car analyse the sys. and determine if I need to replace all of the speakers, add amps, add a couple of subs, put in a sound processor, dynamat the doors and floor, or simply add an amp and sub. To all thanks for your input.

I'm buying one of those JL Audio convetors, replace the amp with an Alpine and replace all speakers--leaving the center channel disconnected and 10 bucks says it will ROCK....
