LOL! Just in time to ruin a set of F1's after the first really cold days in GA. In all seriousness, though, it's good to hear they are going to make them again. Thanks for the update!

Haha, it may not be as bad as Indiana, but we will definitely see some weather in the teens. The key here is no snow usually. Though we are due for something this year...

Yep, last year or the year before we had a few days in the single digit temps in the morning. I remember I took a pic of my dash and it was 5 degrees F on the way to work one morning.

We usually only get snow for a day or two a year, and usually nothing major, so it's just the temps I'm concerned about. No slush or salt or otherwise crappy roads, fortunately.

I agree with that. There's no way I'd ever live up there. Traveled to that area for work enough to know it's not for me. I'm perfectly happy with shutting everything down for a week once a year or two because we don't have the proper equipment to deal with snow and ice on the roads. That's a more than acceptable alternative for me!

Back on topic, I'm thinking DWS06 on M228 or M716 wheels to throw on there every winter. Anybody like anything better than the DWS06 since I don't have the time to wait for the BFG's?

Those were my second choice since they come in a 315 for the rears.. The BFGs don't offer a 315... But for the price Im getting the BFGs I cant pass it up..... cant beat friends in high places at tire rack

That stinks. Fwiw, I put the dws06 on mine at the end of December, and they've been great through some light snow, single digit temps, and stick better than i thought they would when it's 50-60deg and dry. I really like them so far.

I really want the BF Goodrich but as everyone knows they are on back order for who knows how long... And I also will be in the 630s rwhp in a few weeks

So what else is out there that people like? BC these F1s are junk!!!
I have Michelin PS4's in the front and Michelin PS2 K1's in the back. Yesterday was light, wet snow where I live and the roads were wet and salted. The tires did just fine. The K1's don't have as much grip as Falken Azenis or even regular Michelin PS2's, but where they shine is getting rid of the water: they're really good on wet pavement (with reasonable driving of course). I couldn't get Michelin PS4's in the back because they weren't available in 305/35 R20 form factors. I tested the Azenis on my buddy's ZL1 at temperatures between -1 C (~30 F) and 5 C (41 F) in semi-dry conditions on very curvy backroads with speeds between 40 km/h (~25 MPH) and 110 km/h (~68 MPH) and they had very good grip.

I cannot find any all weather / all season tires for the ZL1 in Europe though, and BFGoodrich doesn't sell here.

Unless something changes, next tires for me will be either Michelin PS4's or Falken Azenis.

F1's need to be warmed up to temperature before they become sticky, but I'm given to understand that once they're warmed up, the grip is extremely good. Unfortunately, there is no way to drive safely and warm them up in normal driving conditions on the street unless it's very hot outside. They're really track tires designed to meet just the minimum street legal standards so one could take one's car home after a day at the track.

Does Continental not sell the DWS06 over there, or is that a US-only tire? Nitto Invo, Motivo, and NT555 are also an option if you can get them over there.
