That sucks man. I'm surprised APD looked for prints. I had the impression (hopefully wrong) that they didn't do much for vehicle break-ins.

Sorry to hear about your bad luck --- I had a detector stolen from my glove box sometime ago - and i couldn't figure out how they knew it was in there - except the cop said "take a look at your windshield, they can see the imprints made by the suction cups for the mountiing bracket" At least they left the car!! |

this is the part # you need for your new door glass.
DD11716 GT N if you are going to do this yourself i will sell you the glass at my cost of 125.00 plus shipping. this would be pilkington glass the same as what was broken. lmk |

Hopefully your dealer does a better job than the place I used, Binswagner Glass, which my insurance recommended. They sent out a van to my workplace and the guy said he'd vacuum it all out... then when I came back after 30 minutes, he was using a screwdriver to stick into the drainage holes on the bottom of the door to get the glass bits out. Put a bunch of scratches in that area. I paid around $200-250, I believe. I could be wrong; would need to pull out the old receipts.
And yes, I have glass bits still in the door. |
