Since then I bought another 9500, and one of those single suction cup mounts. Makes it easier to always take it down whenever I park. There's going to be glass bits in your door for a long time; there are still some in mine that won't come out.

So yeah, it sucks and I feel your pain. You will feel much better once the window is fixed.
the dealer said that they would clean it out where did you go and how much did you pay and you really have glass bits still!

That sucks man. I'm surprised APD looked for prints. I had the impression (hopefully wrong) that they didn't do much for vehicle break-ins.

Sorry to hear about your bad luck --- I had a detector stolen from my glove box sometime ago - and i couldn't figure out how they knew it was in there - except the cop said "take a look at your windshield, they can see the imprints made by the suction cups for the mountiing bracket"

At least they left the car!!

this is the part # you need for your new door glass.
DD11716 GT N

if you are going to do this yourself i will sell you the glass at my cost of 125.00 plus shipping.

this would be pilkington glass the same as what was broken.

My friends truck was broke into for a small bag sitting on the front seat...the only thing in it was some pen and pencils and magazines. The perps were probably hoping for a laptop or something.
Go to the local pawn shops and ask if anyone broght your detector in recently.

Hopefully your dealer does a better job than the place I used, Binswagner Glass, which my insurance recommended. They sent out a van to my workplace and the guy said he'd vacuum it all out... then when I came back after 30 minutes, he was using a screwdriver to stick into the drainage holes on the bottom of the door to get the glass bits out. Put a bunch of scratches in that area. I paid around $200-250, I believe. I could be wrong; would need to pull out the old receipts.

And yes, I have glass bits still in the door.
