I have this inner dialog with myself a lot. I only have space at my apartment for 1 car and it kills me that I'm not allowed to work on what I have so it wouldn't make sense for me to have a car I tinker with, but I miss getting some good wrench time. If having an older car you can modify would make you happier and not impact you in a negative way, do it.

What is it that makes people not understand that an LS1 powered 4th Gen F-Body will destroy a 10-13 V6? People seriously think that the 10 extra hp is gonna make a difference with a 60 tq deficit and a heavier body? Stock to stock the LS1 will crush the new V6s. With a small amount of mods it will keep up with the SS. Even an LT1 4th Gen F-Body will beat the newer V6.

QFT. I sold my '94 Formula, but it ran circles around the 2010 LS I bought for my daughter. It certainly helps that the V8 LT1 is 400 lbs lighter than the 5th gen V6.

My first question would be is this your daily driver, if so stick with the V6 and just do boltons to keep it super reliable. If it's just your toy, sell it and build you a bad ass ls 4th gen assuming your not upside down and making payments on the 5th gen.
