Hmmm, that's odd. It's got to be a software update, but I'm hearing the update comes through On-Star, but others say through the Chevy dealer. Then again, many are saying that bluetooth quality is bad. Eh. I guess I'll stick with USB, don't really want to go buy a new stereo just for bluetooth. Appreciate the replies guys!

If Bluetooth is on your sound system's menu, then you can play music from a phone or other device using bluetooth.

Use the bluetooth menu, not the phone menu, to hear whatever your device is playing via bluetooth.

The Camaro has 2 different options for bluetooth pairing, one for calls and one for music. When I got my Galaxy S8 I couldn't figure out why mine wouldn't work either until I read the manual and seen that.

I have a 2010. I have not been able to get my iPhone X to work on bluetooth since I got my X when it came out. It's definitely a firmware issue on the car.

I wonder if there is a way to find out if there is a fix.

Probably not. Updates for 5th gens are not rolling out like they used to. Its actually Apples side that causes it. New FW on the chips, and software changes cause them to miscommunicate. hence why GM has to update to support apple updates.
Personally, if you MUST keep it stock, ue USB for iphone connect. if that fails, time for radio bypass and replace.
