Wondering about current resale value of 2011 IPC Verts. Looking at some recent internet auctions and was surprised that a 2011 IPC w/automatic, 950 miles, active warranty, mint, etc. stalled at $33K. KBB puts a "normal" 2011 SS vert at $36K. Thinking almost spring would be good timing. Is the 2011 IPC package still too recent to overcome the new vehicle depreciation formula? I would have expected the relatively low volume of this replica to show better collectability. Not selling, just curious.

this is pretty normal. even the zl 1 camaro in 1969 had a few years where you couldnt give one away. this past year, one just sold for $660k. you may need to hold onto it longer, say 15-20 yrs but eventually, it will climb. in the meantime, it's so hard to resist driving it around.

Indy 500 Logo on front fenders

Can anyone tell me if anyone has the 500 Logo that is located under the Camaro emblem on the rear of the front fenders. Also I have seen the Izod Indycar Series logo on the bottom front corners of the rear quarter panel.

GM did not number them. They came off the line with VINs mixed with other Camaros and other chevy models.

The 50 or so cars that did festival duty at Indy have numbered plates that normally go with them.

These 100 Anniv. Decals were installed on the Festival cars as well as the Izod logos....

just purchased an 2011 Pace car and it came with the original window sticker. How do you determine what production number it would be? DO they use the VIN#?

2011 Pace Car info

I am trying to compile info on all the various Pace Cars at Indy and am about to start with 2011. Did the list of VINs ever get compiled? List of dealers that had them? is there any info on the assigned drivers of the Festival Cars? What were the VINs/Numbers of the Festival Cars?

Here are two years I've already finished for reference:

1994: https://www.facebook.com/groups/200776700706982/

1992: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1810267675909744/

I have a number of years completed, but haven't put the data up yet. Will be looking for 2012 as well. thanks

If I see the guy in charge of the pace/festival cars I can try asking him. I would assume he has access to that information although I don't know how readily available it is to him and I know he's busy so it's not something I would bother him much about. I think he's paying cash for a few of the festival cars we've repaired so far this season so I'm bound to see him again at some point.

If you had posted this a few months ago I could have just walked out to the rental lot and pulled all of the VINs from the Camaros that way you had all of the 2018s...

And responding to the old post a little above, the cars are assigned numbers but as far as I know it has nothing to do with the VIN(I don't believe the lowest # VIN is automatically #1). They do indeed have Indy 500 plates with the car's # on it, no clue if the vehicle always keeps the plate or not but that car # is also always on the windshield by the VIN if I remember right. Also not sure if it stays with the car or not or if the dealership/Enterprise takes it off once it's returned.

Thanks for the replay-I have completed all the research on the 2013 to 2017 cars and have the 2018 cars-only half have been sent to the dealers at this time. (There are still a number of unsold 2017 cars at dealers as well). I've also completed the 93 Camaros and found a few errors in the generally accepted list of cars released by GM. There were also 1991 Z28 converts used at the 1990 Indy as Festival Cars-possibly 43 of them and I have info on 41. they were white with black interiors and top and received the pink Indy decals at the track. there were also 80 Corvettes at 1990 used as Festival Cars and I have all the build info on them as well. You are correct that the Indy number has nothing to do with the VIN. The number is put on the drivers side windshield and the rear license plate area. At one time they were also put behind the rear view mirror. Most of the time they are left on the cars when sent to the dealers, but other times like the 1993 Allante all the identifying decals were removed from the car. I was encouraged to read in this thread some people have collected some VINs and dealership info and am sure hoping they will be shared. And as always, I will share everything once it is compiled and published. Thanks for any and all help.

There is a 93 with 78 miles and sticker still in the window for sale in Bowling Green KY. It was on display at Camaro Fest the past couple of years.
