Need advice

So i have straight pipes and am complimenting headers. What type of performance will I gain if I go with headers or just stick with straight pipes.? I have NPP exhaust with fuse pull. It is loud as is but looking for for more HP, not so loud where my neighbors are complaining. I am not looking at racing people unless provoked to. Just looking for advice.

30hp /30tq are average gains after long tube headers and tune

A cold air intake would be good idea too before the tune. More air out needs more air in and might as well have all your mods on the car then tune to get it all done in one shot. Save some cash that way only paying for tune one time

Thanks, forgot to mention I have a CAI also. If I do go with headers, how long can I go before getting a tune?

I would recommend getting tune soon as possible, most likely your air fuel ratios be ok but if you are lean don't want to hurt your motor

Straight pipes are worth nothing, only changing HFC will free some HP if not getting headers. Get headers with or without HFC. Get a mail tune.

How are straight pipes worth nothing? Just curious. How does a mail tune work? Do I need a tuner for that?

Just trying to decide if I want headers. This is my first 5th gen but have owned 4 3rd gens with the dream of refurbishing them but family changed it. Not looking for racing, just want it to sound good with a little umph.

Straight pipes are no muffler right? Mufflers are no more than 2-4hp and that is not with the NPP option cause they are good to 700hp+.

HFC are the big restriction; 15rwhp for the mid pipes imo. I did it without the headers as a first mod and the SOTP was noticeable!!

Mail tunes are easy; buy something like a Diablosport programmer then contact someone for a tune by email. You will go drive and record data with the programmer then send the file to him.

Sorry if I am confusing you, what I mean by straight pipes is that I removed the cats and put off road pipes on. I have the npp exhaust with the fuse pulled. Should I tune it as is or long tubes and then tune. Would it be ridiculously loud? I have seen tons of youtube videos but laptop speakers just dont give the right feedback I am looking for.
