Sunroof wont Open
Background: 2010 2LT/RS CGM 54,xxx miles
Anyone have an idea on the issue or possible fix for a sunroof that will not open. The sunroof will open to the vent position and closes no problem from vent, however that is as far as it will go. I have tried to give a little push/pull, thinking maybe it is slightly off track but nothing happens. I know there are some visible screws once the sunroof is in the vent position, but I am not comfortable messing with anything right now since the sunroof does not leak, that is until I know this is something I can tackle at home. I have replaced sunroof motors on plenty of BMW's, just never on a Camaro. Sal |

First thing to check is the fusebox. Make sure you don't have a blown fuse. Second thing to check is continuity at the switch. GM is known for poor quality switches, and ones that don't get used very often can develop tarnished contacts. I'd guess that if it opens to vent position, the motor is probably not the issue.

Help please
Sorry I couldn’t figure out how to make my own post🤦🏻. My son tried opening my sunroof in the winter months when it was frozen.😡😡. I heard a pop and now it won’t open. The motor is still working but it seems like it’s stuck down on the passenger side. Can someone tell me what the issue is???

I had a similar issue, only the sunroof would only slide back a little.
The problem was a broken guide piece (number 12 in the link) https://repairlinkshop.com/Catalog/P...7YfO42nYS4h6qQ The part is described as follows: GUIDE KIT,SUN ROOF PNL/WDO - GM Part Number 22819990 (kit includes both the left and right side guide).

I had the same problem, except it decided not to close one night. After messing with it 20 minutes I finally got it closed. Left it closed for 6months LOL. Finally replaced the switch, problem solved.

The sunroof on my 2LT would never close completely. You could hear the wind whistle around it at moderate speeds. Sorry, I don’t have any pertinent info to help you guys out. My “fix” was to trade the 2LT in for an SS... without the sunroof.
