I took a close look at the front bowtie on the cars at Indy. The Bowtie is actually inset into the grill...so if you remove the Bowtie, then the grill in those spots is lower. I wish I took a detail pic of this, but did not.
I was thinking of putting an "SS" emblem in it's place at the center of the grill, but because of the inset, it may be harder to do and still look right.

Lets see, I believe the concept bowties were made from billet aluminum and plated in 24k gold. I don't know how they managed to make it cost that much either. But the entire car cost $2M or so.

I'm considering that, but I want to see pictures first. You can do all the photo-editing you want, but you won't really know until you do it in person.
