Chevy runs deep.....so DIG deep......
Our brothers in CA are at a price disadvantage. In essence, Chevy only runs deep through their pockets up there. So sad for the Nation who actually builds the car. Trade regulations. I feel for those less fortunate than us in the States. But, it is what it is.

I was at Roy Foss today in Thornhill and they didn't have pricing or allocation info yet and said it would probably be early January before they know (although they could take an order). I spoke with the sales manager btw.
I Looked into the ZL1 the minute I knew it existed, went to dealer who didn't know anything.I placed an order gave him $1000 and put wheels in motion.I started sending him lots of info from all you boys and he became aware of it, and he went to work getting me one.He talked to regional manager at GM who made him buy 3 other cars so he could get 1 ZL1(which would be mine ). Went back when he could order, picked what options i wanted, gave him $5000 more and im done. Seems like he is only getting 1 car for 2012.

Almost the exact same story for me, minus my dealer having to buy 3 other cars. Funny how dealerships who sell GM products can seem a bit out of touch when it came to information on the ZL1! I guess that's what happens when you are a chevy enthusiast.

Firehawk
With the link on the website leads me to believe that Wilson Niblett would take a pre-order.
Just so you know they are canada's largest corvette dealer as well as a sponsor of the ontario camaro club.
They are also ontario's only authorized callaway dealer.
They are geared very much toward car enthusiants.
good luck.

Everything you need is at the above link or you can view at www.riv.ca

The warranty issue not valid for 6 months is easy to do two ways: The dealer sells the car to one of their in house leasing companies, then you buy it from them "used" (Most Harley Davidson guys do this) or as the dealer in California did for my brothers Hummer, they said any warranty repairs needed, have the dealer call us and we will pay for the repairs with our dealer credit card.

Bill Nurse in Whitby said they will only have 1 allocation and will only be putting up for auction and selling to the highest bidder. From the sounds of it, Canada is getting very limited numbers. Regardless of MSRP the price will high. Boy do I love this Canadian economy, because our upper middle class is so big, our prices look ridiculous compared to our US friends.

I don't think I will be getting one from Canada, unless the pricing is remotely close to the US.

Where did you order from?

Not likely as a GT500 with the SVT Track Package in Canada costs $65,729 MSRP expect the ZL1 to be slightly more than that, as the GT500 with the SVT Track Package costs $53,600 MSRP in the USA. As per usual the Camaro will cost more than the GT500 but I haven't really payed attention to the ordering prices for options on the Camaro as I didn't order mine but if the Camaro is anything like the Mustang the Optional Features will cost less in Canada than the USA.

I'm posted back to Europe next year, If I don't get one I will NEVER be able to afford one :(:(

Auction off to the highest bidder!? Pathetic. I'm heading south to purchase or waiting until this hype subsides!

Agreed ^^^

I will probably do the same on the ZL-1 convertible. I don't need or want it so bad that I will pay over MSRP to feed anyone's greed.

I have brought a US car up here already and it isn't too bad.....in fact, some dealers will help and take care of all the leg work (which was suggested to me by a dealer I recently visited). There would be a finders fee for this of course, but minimal compared to over-MSRP rape.
