2008 HHR SS Turbocharged
I just wanted to let you all know that I bought my wife a HHR SS this weekend. I'll post pics soon. It's a bitchin' little hot rod. I know that there was news by Bob Lutz that they might but the 2.0L Eco-Tec Turbo Charged in the entry level Camaro and alot of people (including me) who cried foul. But I gotta tell you guys, that little HHR SS is a quick little car. it might work in an entry level Camaro.

My mom is looking at the HHR SS. I'd rather have the Cobalt SS, but its not bad at all. I think the Astra would be a far better hot hatch though. They really need to get a Redline version together.

ya but personally i dont think the camaro will weigh to much..iv said this bfor but..look at the 2007 monte SS...weighs about 3400lbs..and has pretty much the same dimensions as the camaro LxWxH wise..and ik, ik..there r certain other cercumstances(sp) but really..i think our camaro mit b able to reach around there...im not saying its going to b 3,400lbs but maybe into the 3500 and 3600..i mean look at it compaired to the dodge avenger looks tiny but just my 2 cents worth

Yes weight will be more, but, consider we're talking about the top trim HHR versus the rock bottom trim Camaro. So no, the 260 hp I4 TC'd Camaro won't be very fast, but it won't be a slug either. I'd say you'd be looking at maybe a little slower than the V6 powered Camry, or maybe about as fast as the V6 Malibu. Not great, but not bad either.

If they put the T/C 2.0 in the base Camaro, I am sure it will be tuned down a little, so you don't have to run premium. Not very many people would buy a base model car that has to run premium gas.
As for the HHR SS, I really like the looks of it. Don't forget to put up some pics.
