Stock Z/28 Tune

I was wondering if any of you lucky Z/28 owners happen to have HPTuners and is willing to share your stock tune with me? I am curious to see what OS they are running and PCM that are using as well. Curious as well to see how the calibration compares to a Z06. I know some people are complaining that the intake tubing is not as big as it can be so I am curious to see what the MAF flow rates are at each Hz break points vs a Corvette Z06 break points.

I have the file at work. It is using the standard Camaro E38 ECM. I don't know the OS off hand.

I can get it for you on Monday if you like.

Sorry no EFI Live

I have HP and a Z28. I have never pulled a tune on a car yet. Can I just download and keep with out changing the tune?
One things for sure it does not have the low end torque like the ZL1.

Yes. Downloading/copying doesn't change the tune. It is the first thing you do before tuning.

Download the factory tune, and save it away in at least 2 different places.

It is pretty straight forward. Just hook up to the car with the ignition on and car not running. Do a read entire, I believe it's called, and save it to your laptop. All your doing is copying what is already on there and not changing anything. You can look at the calibration all you want but can't save any changes till you use your credits on it. Same would go for anyone else looking at the saved file with their copy of HPTuners. They can read and edit it all they want but can't save the changes nor flash it into a PCM till credits are used on that specific calibration file.

Ok I will give a try this weekend. Never used my HP but I got it all up and going with a wide band if I ever need it for the ZL1. So nothing will change if I just save it. I have lots of credits but they will not be used.

Doesn't cost anything to read the file. Not even a credit. Only if you want to license that particular car and rewrite it.

Call me if you need a walk through....it's pretty simple and I don't mind helpin ya if needed. Takes like 10 minutes.

File is .hpt not .zip so just change it before you open it.

holy crap for some reason even after renaming it, HPTuners says it can't open it because it can't load the file definitions. What version of HPTuners are you running?
