Oh yeah what kind of car do you have it doesnt look like much i think that the ford is alot more poised this year and according to car and driver its better.

Before I added my 312HP decals to my Camaro, I was getting at least one challenge every couple days from Mustangs (GT's No V6's) or ricers.. Since I put them on, Nothing, Nada.. no challenges at all.. ( I had 304 decals before and still got challenges...)

By the way, I would always Laugh and shake my head at a challenge.. I never race anyone...

I registered on this site today due to one of my customer's informing me of the 2011 updates. I am a Chevy salesperson and I had to go dig through random info on GM Program Info to find this information. It wasn't something GM went out of their way to inform us of. I guess I will start staying in the know if I'm on here everyday huh?

Welcome to the group. and you will find out alot of great stuff.. This site will let you in on alot of things behind the scenes before it gets to the dealerships and most sales people find out... With the Fbodfather here he keeps up in the loop...

Does your V6 actually get 312hp?

That is the OFFICIAL HP number that is SAE certified (See my sig with quote from Fbodfather)... 304hp was not certified in the Camaro, only in the CTS...

I thought that was the SAE numbers for the 2011 V6 engine?

Did you not see what had been talked about over and over, the engines are exactly the same, no changes, the number was just certified, it also applies to the 2010 V6 motors..... as I said, read my sig ...

the 304 number was certified number in the CTS. The 2010 (and 2011) Camaro uses different intake/exhaust. The engine was not certified in the Camaro application until just recently, resulting in the 312 HP number.

The 2010 HP is also 312. So pick your car up and be proud. There were no engine or exhaust mods to the 2011 engine just certification at a different RPM. Go figure.
