Welcome to the Camaro club. Actually, most of us here discourage the V-6/V-8 debates, so don't sweat it. Whether you drive a '6 or an '8, the important part is that it's in a Camaro!

welcome.. V6 here as well and love it to death. I find it hard to find placed to open her up besides the freeways so the extra power would not be used, also the roads are crap here and I bounce around a lot, would not want even more power when my wheels are not on the road.

Just remember today's V6 cars are putting out more HP than the V8's of the 1980's... A lot more.

Dont be upset that you have a v6. I drive almost 80 miles a day, I bought one for that reason. I'll never race my car. Its fast enough

Welcome dude. Nice car. You'll figure it all out soon enough!
#1 get a catch can. (air oil separator) As far as V6? I had a high performance 3.0 liter BMW 6 and I still have my 4.0 liter Ford V6. The LFX is a completely different animal. In the Camaro chassis, it is VERY fast. Have fun!

Welcome Newbie............There was not an alternate assembly line for the V6's. There was " ONE " assembly line to build all Camaro's..........V8 or V6....................Period........

There's nothing wrong with the V6. This is an opportunity to build a project.

You seem to say your sad about it to because of the heat you thought you were going to receive... I had my choice of a SS or LT for cheaper and I took the LT because as you said its a fun car to drive. Enjoy the car, keep it in good shape and don't listen to those haters .

It's all about having fun, and doing what you like and what makes you smile. Any real car guy understands that. So don't sweat any ignorant haters.
I have a blast driving everything from light bodied 4 cylinder European cars of the 60s all the way up to modern American muscle. It's about the sensation and exhilaration. So welcome to the forum, strap in, learn, customize, have fun. |
