Disable DRL for non-RS

Hi guys,

I'll get straight to the point, there are already numerous threads on this subject, believe me, I have searched. However, I do not believe the Camaro5 Community can not gather all the smarties and figure this out once and for all.

I have a Non-RS 1LT. I also live in Canada, which means turning the light knob to "off" doesn't turn off the DRLs. There has been a shared solution to turning off the DRL, and that is to cut the spring on the knob so it can stay in the OFF position. Obviously this does not apply to me, since no matter what it stays on.

So in my case, the DRL has to be stopped before the switch. Whether it's a fuse, or reprogramming the computer. I'm really hoping there are smart enough minds in this crowd to work with me to figure out how to Disable them.

I plan to swap for HIDs, and I do not want them on during the day.

Thanks in advance, please feel free to ask me more if my post wasn't clear enough. =)

Cheers

OKay guys, I'll just do this myself... but I'll need a service Manual. I'll have to find some DRL relay, apparently some 4th gen Camaros had a way to disable DRL by fiddling with the Relay.

If anyone has a link, or knows where to find the Service Manual for the 2010 Camaros, please it would help me greatly =)

I saw something posted about a third wire to the headlamps on a non rs car. I imagine you can disconnect it and either connect it to your fogs or parking lamps if you want to turn them into your drl since you are required to have it in canada.
