Yes I agree, however Ford said no (guess why). We do have the numbers for the 1LE, ZL1 & the GT500 on the same day and same track. (please see my post #67)

How about just running the 1LE on the same configuration Streets of Willow as the BOSS/LS was tested. The people who tested the 1LE could have done that easily, they chose not to do that for what ever reason!

I did watch the video but I didn't have too, these people are saying the Mustang GT with a (track pack) is .33 seconds quicker then the BOSS. Do you really believe that, I don't, I know better.

What???
No they're not. The Boss is quicker than the GT, we just don't know by how much cause Ford didn't want them using a Boss. Watch the video again closely.

Again, different driver, different day. The thing to look and and speculate about is if the difference between a Mustang GT Track Pack and a Boss or Boss LS can make up that 3 second differential. Stickier tires, improved suspension, and a little more horsepower on the Boss would definitely tighten the gap, but by how much? Motor Trend couldn't tell us, so maybe it will be answered by another magazine. Or maybe Cornerspeed will have a video of him passing a Boss at Laguna Seca. That would be nice.

You must believe the 1LE ran only .8 slower around the same curcuit then a car that weighs 500#s less, has better suspension, better weight distribution, lower center of gravity, better wider tires and has 200 more horse power. That car would be the ZR1! Where do you get that kool-aid, I can't find it around here.

The Kool-Aid is called Randy Probst flavor, drink up.
I'm trying to quit.
http://fastestlaps.com/tracks/willow...of_willow.html

There are different configurations at Willow, but they each have different names. Streets of Willow is one configuration. Notice Randy has driven a lot of cars there and compare his times to others for like platforms. The man is fast. I'm sure he could do better than 1:26.xx with the Boss/LS, lets have a drink to him never trying

Ford's reasoning was because it was no longer a production model and it was also a standalone model, whereas the 1LE is an option package.
