Looking like it'll make around 10 psi on this setup. Wondering if that's a safe number for regular driving with little racing here and there
As high as I would go. Tuning is important and I'd suggest methanol at those boost levels.

All the best,

A built motor is on the list lol. As long as the motor survives this season I'll be happy. It definitely doesn't owe me anything

Well the setup is almost done I'll be at 10 psi. Will a new clutch be necessary or can I work around it for a while. Don't have the funds to add a clutch also at moment but want car running

i am still running stock clutch on a peak of 9lb, for more than awhile. i believe how long a clutch lasts has a lot more to do with driving technique than anything. ive driven several manual cars for quite a long time, never once had to change a clutch. even on my race bikes, never had to. eventually it will go, but it wont be because i abused it or didnt know how to drive.

It's all about the tune and the fuel... 45k miles @ 8 psi, no engine issues... Clutches I'm on my second LS7.

Depends on your power level. Some have good luck on the stock clutch and FI. Others don't, IMO you can drive it easy and prolong the life, but it's just a matter of time, before you need to replace it.

even with a stock engine soon or later you have to change so..it's a matter of time . As you said driving it easy prolong the life. Hard launc of course don't

Btw I'm running 10psi on whipple and the clutch seems to handle that...I'll tell you later

I would run a larger pulley and run about 8 PSI. Only cost you about 40 hp and be a real strong car. Don't get caught up on the number. You'll have a strong car and less issues with the driveline.
The only common sense response in this entire thread.
