Question about DHL Shipping
So, I ordered a product online and the website uses DHL as the shipping provider. It's been about 2 weeks, and the tracking number says that my item has "arrived at destination airport" as of 7/04. The expected delivery date is Wednesday, and I was told to expect a phone call from DHL in order to set up the appointment, but I still haven't received a phone call from them. Is it typical for them to call the day before the expected delivery date? Or could they maybe even call me tonight (it's 5 PM here in Ohio, though).
If anyone could share their DHL shipping experiences with me, I'd appreciate it! Thanks! |

I ordered something last year before Christmas and the site had a free shipping deal for Christmas which was through DHL. Now the company I ordered from is based in Texas and it took DHL over 2 weeks once they had the package in hand to go from Texas to NC. At each stop, the package would stay at that facility for 3-4 days before it would be loaded up and taken to the next hub. The shipping time was ridiculous compared to other carriers. And their customer service is worse. I will never use DHL again and I'll never recommend them. If a company I'm getting ready to make a purchase from only uses DHL, I'll find another company to order from. |

Well, the last update was 4 days ago, when it "arrived at destination airport". I check back early this morning and see that yesterday it was "received at destination airport".
1) What does this even mean? 2) Why did it take 3 days to go from "arrived" to "received"? 3) Will I still get my package tomorrow (the expected delivery date)? If I don't get the phone call to arrange the appointment today, I'm going to call DHL and see where exactly my package is. Ugh. Last edited by CyberGreyConvertible; 07-08-2014 at 07:37 AM. |
