You guys have no frame of reference to make this immediage judgment.

Extreme example, but what if OP has $20B in the bank and a $30-40K dealer surcharge on the 2024 is actually desirable to him, because he can make sure no "peasants" will get the vehicle he wants? (See also Veblen or Giffen goods in your microeconomics 101 textbook.)

We have no idea, and calling a financial decision stupid based on no information speaks about the one throwing the insult, not the one making the decision.

Do you really want a 1LE for its track-ability Or are you just thinking about collector car value?

Personally, I'm happy to hold onto my 2023 ZL1. Hell, I barely got it broken in before putting it away for the winter. Years of fun await...I buy cars in order to use them, not as "investments". Cars are not investments, unless you're talking about a few Italian cars with racing provenance.

If he had 20B he wouldn't be asking our opinions....he can do what he wants with his money...doesn't mean I have to think it's a good idea....that's why it's called an opinion....if you only want opinions that you agree with an open forum isnt the place to be asking for one....

So basically you'd be spending 10-15 grand (or more) for the bragging rights that you'd have one of the last ones built ?

In that case I'd just depend on how much those bragging rights are worth to you.

Of course it all depends on whether you can locate a 24 for sale to begin with.

Totally agree with you. I did not get the ZL1 for an investment either and plan on driving it. I got lucky on a 1993 Porsche RS America I bought slightly used in 1995 that I sold for a significant amount. Probably the only time I have really made money on a car.

I say if you want the ‘24 ZLE I totally get it. It’s the top dog period, no matter what anyone says. It’s the final year and if you can get a one year only color it’s even more rare. If you can afford to take the hit, I say go for it. Especially if you plan on keeping the car for the long haul. You only live once. I love the negative comments, buying a Camaro is the dumbest investment you could make in the first place. It’s a toy that even in its top form should cost no more than 50k. No one here should be poo pooing anyone else, we’re all idiots.

Thanks for all the comments I just wanted to hear what others would do-I bought this car not only because I like it but because the end of the line on a limited production trim will be gone and even though this car is not a investment holding much of its value was a plus.

Maybe if you wanted a Riptide Blue/ Nitro ZLE and you could get it at MSRP.

Of course it would have to be a manual
