.....aaaannnndddd a few years later I still couldn't decide M6 or A10 so now have one of each.

Now my issue is jumping in and remembering if it has 3 pedals or 2.

Technically one muscle car and five performance cars!

I could never get this car in an Auto.

One of the reasons I got the 2nd one in Auto so we could take both cars if needed otherwise she's not driving it unless she has to

10 speed: have it and love it. The manual clutch is crude and obsolete technology. You can paddle shift the 10 speed if you think you are smarter and quicker than the algorithm, but probably you're not.

Using the Paddle Shifters on the track locks out the clutches for the deceleration engine braking and the torque vectoring using the eLSD. If you feel you must upshift with the paddle shifter, be sure to keep it in the auto mode or do the "bounce" left to right with the stick to get it back into "Performance Shift" immediately so the computers can get back to doing what they do best... proving that we are Humans and still too pig-headed to just let technology kick our ass!!

i only have a ZL1 because the GT500 was announced to be DCT only. now that i'm here, i fully believe it to be the better bang for buck car. just always loved mustangs more, this car has changed a lot of things for me.

but it being a secondary fun car, manual is the only way i'd have one. i care zero that an auto can win a straight line race, it is about having fun when i drive that counts.

I specifically got a ZL1 because it comes in a manual. I would not have considered an A10.

I specifically got a ZL1 because it comes in an A10, I grew up on the row team but now I want to be a Coxswain.

Same here! When I first had the thought of getting a ZL1 I was all in on the M6...UNTIL they A10 came out. That changed my mind completely. Something about mashing the throttle and taking off like a rocket is just too much fun! .

Those that are bummed they have to share it with their wives, I personally love watching the simultaneous initial terrified look on my wife's face, then immediately flips to smiling and laughing when she floors it because she loves the raw power she has at her disposal.

Gotta agree with the A10's "giggle factor" ... it's what sold my wife on the car when she got behind the wheel.

If I was to do it again, I'd seriously consider an M6 -- only if I could find the right car -- to change things up and do something different after 6-1/2 years. Or just get a Superformance Cobra.

So is an ICE if you really want to get down to it. If you love technology you can get a car that drives itself and the experience devolves into simply getting from point A to B. I had the paddle shift in my 5th gen and it in no way compares to a manual. I’m not after smarter and quicker and more technology and getting from point A to B is very much a secondary consideration and really more of an excuse to hop in the Camaro and experience what driving can and should be about.

I get it if people are all about getting the best track times or whatever, but with some things crude and obsolete are the whole point. I still wear mechanical watches and do woodworking with hand tools. Higher levels of technology and convenience aren’t always the way to go when the experience is more important.
