Cold Air intake with a procharger?

Does anyone here have a real cold air setup on a gen 5 with a procharger without going thru the hood? I took my tune man for a ride in my car last week and he was recording the engine details and the only thing he saw as a problem was the intake air temp. My current setup pulls hot air from under the hood and I am loosing some Hp.. Anyone?

Do you run an intercooler?

If your running an intercooler at what point is the temp being logged. Pre intercooler or post.

What would a cold air intake do for you then? The blower is still going to heat up the air, your intercooler should be where it cools off before it enters the engine

My Procharger is pulling air right off the header, but I am using the larger intercooler. What are your current boost and hp numbers?

https://www.camaro5.com/forums/attac...1&d=1534916140 to keep it cool everything helps from methanol injection to large 1300 hp intercooler to cold air intake away from header to heat shield to vented hood with a ram air vent in front of intake

Now that is unique 707ss Intersting placement What was your difference in Intake Temp compared to “Standard” Filter placement. Have the Dual Nozzle Meth At 100% Big Intercooler Stage ll D1X Have See temps Ambient-20 during run to as high as 120 sitting stuck at traffic light with OAT 98-100. Not that bad imho.

Well I just changed the intake too what you see in the picture from the standard pro charger filter placement recently and have no gauges to tell any difference but the engine oil temp gauge dropped maybe 20-30 degrees on the freeway and I can physically tell the motor is running cooler I really do want to install some gauges to monitor temps and boost that’s next on my list to install what monitors or gages are you running ?

Right now running the Autometer Dash Controller Box along with Innovate Motorsports Wideband that uses the HUD,DIC and Radio Display to display AFR,IATs and a bunch of other parameters which you can customize in groups along with Cars aural "ding" for exceeding parameters. Pretty Cool and like it but may be going to change to a Standard Gauge Pod Setup. Cant use the Box and Datalog at same time (due to the little box hooking into the OBD Port which would like to do during what the Car was built for 1/2 mile Runs)

Very cool. I just purchased the autometer dash display (not the wideband part) in the hopes that it will display my replaced MAF sensor that can support up to 14 PSI, I haven't actually gotten the car back yet (in the tuning phase) but I have high hopes for it.
