I keep a full size 20x10 replica with 285/35/20 in my trunk when I travel anywhere.

Tire repair kit and the OEM pump. 40 years old, have put at least that many plugs in car and motorcycle tires over the years (including one in my wife's Tribeca this weekend), never once had a puncture that couldn't be plugged and filled back up.

Performance spare here. It's about 40.lbs with the jack wrench etc

I had my car 'towed' once.. would like to avoid that, no thanks.

I always carry a donut spare and throw in a full size on long trips
Weight is not a huge deal with the car
