Well we do a few things different with our CAI than our competitors, here is a rundown of the biggest differences with some helpful links.

1. We design and engineer our own Air filters, they are made specifically for your car and the intake system it is sold with. Check out this 3d video which takes you through our filter, its much more exciting than if I wrote it all down LOL:
http://www.coldairinductions.com/air...ers-in-action/

2. We coat our intake tubes inside and out with a high luster ceramic finish. The ceramic acts as a heat barrier keeping heat out of your intake air. The intake tube is hot to the touch for this reason, why you ask, because the heat is staying on the outside of the tube as opposed to soaking through to the intake air that is flowing through!

3. We apply an insulation barrier on the inside of our intake box to keep heat from soaking into the system, thus keeping the air as cold as possible. Of course we don't do these things and just assume they work, we test them to ensure their positive affects on the system. Read here:
http://www.coldairinductions.com/col...hermal-imaging

Throw in high qualtiy materials, Aluminum air boxes that are are individually TIG welded by hand, Lifetime use filters, a clear view window for easy filter inspection and you have yourself a high qualtiy CAI that proves itself on the dyno, and more importantly proves itself on the road!

Feel free to let me know if you have any quesions, I would be happy to help. Oh and dont take my word for it, just check out what our customers have to say:

Thumbs up

I could not be happier with the performance of my Cold Air Inductions CAI. Awesome design, super quality and outstanding customer service. And I think it’s the BEST looking CAI available for our 5th gens .

Here are a couple. I am moving my catch can to the standard location after I install my air scoop and washer bottle.

Does changing the CAI change the sound of the engine at all? If so how? I recall as a kid people use to turn the air covers on the GM motors over to create more of a roar..supposedly.

Yes it does. You can hear the air when you get into the gas. Sounds a little more like muscle car. Headers are next.

It gives it a much deeper growl at WOT, idle will sound about the same. I have a few sound clips on Youtube you can check out as well if they are helpful.

I like the research you have done with the CAI. I have read so many things that now I am so confused. Is this the set up that people are adding the ADM scoop to? If so, what does that do to thermals?

Also, can a person add the Roto Fab washer bottle to this system? I do not want someone spilling washer fluid on my filter during a service.

I have heard that the top glass part sometimes comes loose. Is this a problem.

Who is a dealer near me? I am in Kentucky. Does Chase sell these?

Jared

The ADM scoop with the Roto-Fab W/W reservoir and Cold Air Inductions intake will work fine. The ADM scoop is good for a few more RWHP on top of the gains from the intake itself and also helps lower intake air temps.

I have not had any problems with the top coming loose. There are a number of dealers on C5 that sell the CAI, INC. I bought mine from AutoAgenda.

Good Luck.

On top of great performance, you can also have a design CNC milled into a mirrored acrylic lid and get the frame airbrushed for a custom look.

That looks great, but I do not know anyone in my area that does cool stuff like that.

Thanks for the answers.

Waiting on tax dollars to get this ordered.
